What is Coaching?
People come to coaching for many reasons; however, the bottom line is CHANGE.
Coaching helps you to:
- Clarify YOUR Values and Beliefs
- Enlarge YOUR Vision
- Figure out YOUR Goals
- Define (or Rethink) YOUR Priorities
- Develop YOUR Action Plan(s)
- Chart YOUR Course to Personal Fulfillment
- Break through YOUR Barriers including fears and uncertainty
- Achieve YOUR Dreams
It’s about planning for change and then making it happen. It will take time. Throughout the coaching sessions, a coach helps you explore your motivations and your dreams and asks sometimes hard questions about where and why you seem to be stuck.
A coach will listen, ask questions, help you gain new perspective and offer insights. From the sessions you will discover the obstacles that may be keeping you from being successful, and then develop action steps to remove or best avoid any obstacles getting in the way of your progress and personal or professional development. A coach will help you develop a specific action plan, stay on track, share tools for achieving success, encourage and empower you to realize success and growth. A powerful take-away from the coaching experience if you have whole-heartedly committed yourself to your own personal development is learning a process to use when confronting any of life’s challenges in the future.
What is Coaching NOT?
Coaching is not therapy or counseling. Coaching is not therapeutic intervention. Coaching focuses on strengths not weakness. Coaching looks at the future not the past. The coaching space reflects an individual’s commitment to forward thinking and taking personal responsibility for growth and change.
