I.  Inventory of organization’s program measurement

  • Identify what is being measured today (current outputs and outcomes)
  • Compare to national/ local funder or stakeholder/board reporting requirements
  • Review specific tracking systems for outcome measurement
  • Determine overall organization’s capacity for evaluation and measurement
  • Review communication of results to funders, board/other stakeholders, customers/clients
  • Review use of findings to make informed decisions for organization/program
  • Identify measurement gaps (if any) for current programs
  • Identify measurement gaps (if any) for proposed programs

  • Findings & Conclusions
  • Action Plan / Strategic Initiatives

 III. Examples of Major Implications

  • Measurement process / Infrastructure is fully adequate (or has identified gaps)
  • Data analysis / sub-segmentation / targeting strategies identified
  • Communications strategies may be enhanced (annual reports, briefs, etc.)

  • Strategic plan initiatives (both program/non-program) are directly linked to outcomes / measurements  (with specific timetables for implementation and reporting)
